Dyrholaey Cliff Adventure Wedding | Jaira + Daniel

The Couple and Their Dyrholaey Adventure Wedding in Iceland

This charming wedding of two beautiful humans took place a couple of years ago. We enjoyed the amazing day with them and their coolest guests, who came from the US. And yes, this is still a wedding – not an expedition! You can easily take your closest people with you for your adventure elopement in Iceland!

From Morning at Frost and Fire hotel To Enjoying the Beauty of Iceland from the top of the Dyrholaey Cliff, This Is How To Get Married in AN Epic & adventurous Way

We had a slow morning getting ready at Frost & Fire Hotel and it was so beautiful outside – with steam and low clouds surrounding the area. That’s why Jaira & Daniel decided to have their first looks right outside in nature – and it was so incredible!
The couple had their elopement ceremony at the edge of the Dyrholaey cliff by the ocean shore together with their parents and friends. After we all traveled around the south of Iceland, got completely soaked under 2 waterfalls, and felt so much love between Jaira & Daniel. Hope you’ll see and feel the day through these photos!
P.S. We’re incredibly proud, that this wedding was published by one of the most authoritative wedding blogs online – Green Wedding Shoes.

Dear Jaira & Daniel, thank you loads and loads for your trust and for hiring us as your wedding photographers! We’re so proud to be part of your beautiful love story!

“We are adventurous by nature and thought our big day should reflect the essence of our relationship and some of our favorite moments together. What better than to get married at the edge of a cliff? We were initially prepared to simply elope in Iceland but we were lucky enough to have family and friends who were willing to take the adventure along with us. The photos are absolutely beautiful. We had the most amazing time with you. It was an overall great experience. Thank you for being our elopement photographers and capturing this day for us.”

Why Choose Dyrolaey Cliff for your wedding

Views That Will Leave You Breathless (Literally)

Dyrhólaey Cliff is perched high above Iceland’s southern coast, with sweeping views of black sand beaches, endless ocean waves, and even glaciers in the distance. It’s like Mother Nature designed the perfect wedding venue, complete with a sea breeze to keep things dramatic.

The Iconic Rock Arch

That massive natural arch jutting out into the ocean? Yeah, it’s kind of a big deal. Not only does it make an epic backdrop for your ceremony, but it’s also a reminder that love can withstand the test of time (and waves).

You Can Have Puffins as Wedding Guests

Forget boring old doves or swans—Dyrhólaey is home to adorable puffins! These quirky little birds might just pop by to add a touch of cuteness and make your wedding day truly unforgettable.

Your Wedding Photos Will Be Next-Level

Between the cliffs, the black sand stretching below, and the wild North Atlantic waves crashing into the rocks, your photos will look like you hired a Hollywood production crew. Bonus: moody Icelandic weather always adds extra magic.

It’s Like Getting Married in a Love Poem

Standing on Dyrhólaey Cliff feels like stepping into poetry. The waves sing, the wind whispers, and the dramatic scenery wraps around you like the verses of a timeless romance. It’s not just a wedding spot—it’s pure lyrical magic.
