We spent almost 5 days road-tripping the south of Iceland and finished our adventures in the magnificent West Fjords. The Couple and Their Plan to have a Westfjords Engagement in Iceland
From the very moment, Daria & Vlad contacted us to capture their engagement photographs, which was also a kind of pre-wedding photoshoot before their actual intimate elopement in Iceland, we immediately felt that they were a very adventurous couple in love with travels.
After the first conversation, we already knew they traveled all around the mountains of Italy, Norway, and the whole of Europe. This is why we proposed something very unique – planning their pre-wedding photoshoot in the Icelandic Westfjords – the land of epic and most secluded landscapes and waterfalls in Iceland. Not only did we propose this incredible location for their engagement photoshoot with us, but we also proposed to join them on this road trip for 5 days to explore such stunning locations like Dynjandi, Hornstandir Nature Reserve, and countless black sand beaches & places unnamed and untagged on Google maps.
Both Daria & Vlad are big romantics at heart and super easy-going personas, so it was so easy to plan this expedition! To reach Westfjords, we took a Stykkishólmur ferry from Snaefellsness, pumped up the full tank of our Toyota SUV, and hit the road along the coastline of Westfjords. We explored endless black and white sand beaches, soaked in the wild and untouristy hot pools, checked a mindblowing shipwreck of Garðar BA 64, and of course, felt and captured so much love between these two beautiful humans.
