Sunny LGBTQ Elopement in the South of Iceland

Taylor + Amber
Taylor & Amber had such a stunning and peaceful time exploring the waterfalls and the epic landscapes during their LGBTQ elopement in Iceland. That September day was unusually warm (especially for Iceland), and comfortable, and at the end of it, we were awarded the epic sunset you can experience only in Iceland! I mean, is there any better way to celebrate your love?!

the Couple and their Plan to Have a LGBTQ Elopement in Iceland

That promise turned into their reality five years later. Amber and Taylor planned their LGBTQ elopement day that brought together their love for each other, Icelandic nature, epic adventures, and quality time with their closest friends and family.
When Taylor & Amber first contacted us, they’d been following our Instagram for quite a while and already knew we had 10 years of experience being elopement photographers not only in Iceland but also in epic adventure destinations like Norway or the Swiss Alps. That means that we’re ready for any kind of weather Iceland can throw our way. Originally, they were dying to have a beautiful vow ceremony at Reynisfjara Back Sand Beach, but we strongly advised them to trade this plan for a more private and secluded experience (and it was such a great idea!).

This is how their Same-sex Wedding Looked LIKe
Fun thing! The actual elopement day started the night before. “We woke up in the middle of the night for a snack and ended up watching the northern lights while eating a quesadilla,” Amber laughed. “That moment was pure magic.”
What a way to celebrate a wedding or elopement, right?! Iceland really delivers such special shows, even though September is just the beginning of the Aurora Borealis season.
The day started at an amazing venue called Eirð Retreat. Although it’s settled in the south of Iceland, it’s a little aside from the main tourist attractions, that’s why everyone felt so relaxed and private – exactly the way Taylor & Amber wished, while planning their special day.
Then came the journey to Dyrhólaey – about an hour away from the hotel. “Seeing our family and friends gathered at such a stunning location while my sister and our maid of honor, Riley, conducted the ceremony was beyond beautiful,” Amber said. They exchanged heartfelt vows, with nature all around and, of course, panoramic views not only at the Solheimajokull glacier on the one side but also at the iconic Katla Geopark.
After the ceremony, the photography team and the couple started on a little adventure along the South Coast, visiting several gorgeous waterfalls. While the other guests either explored or simply relaxed, soaking in the views. Hours later, everyone reunited for a catered dinner and a night full of dancing, laughter, and pure joy.
What The Couple Say About Their Adventure
We used Jane and Tony for our elopement/micro wedding in September in Iceland.
We knew for years that we wanted to work with them and they blew our expectations so far out of the water. They were so organized, caring, and professional when corresponding prior to the wedding. When they arrived on the wedding day, they went straight to it and it was amazing seeing them work. I emailed them a veryyyy long list of photos I wanted the day before, and they literally did everything we hoped and more. We felt quite nervous planning an out-of-country wedding without a planner, but it was perfect.
If you have Jane and Tony for your wedding – no matter what happens, you will have beautiful photos for the rest of your life. Also – get the video! Vadzim’s work is AMAZING. Truly incredible.
If I could suggest one thing to do for an Iceland wedding, it would be to hire Jane and Tony.Taylor + Amber
